Hayes Anatomy

With my background in nursing, and the success of shows like Grey's Anatomy, The Practice, and Scrubs, many of my fellow writing students have asked why I don't write medical fiction.

Not only am I an RN, so is my husband, father-in-law, deceased mother-in-law, and my sister-in-law. I have plenty of real life inspiration to draw upon. While I doubt I would ever come up with anything as steamy as Grey's Anatomy(personal choice, not lack of imagination)I could definitely whip up a spellbinding read in this genre.

A favorite family story is that while employed by the same hospital my father and mother-in law were accused of having an affair. Apparently not everyone at that hospital was clued in to the fact that they were husband and wife.

Right now my writing pursuits lay in other genres, but someday...

About Me

My photo
My active imagination began at the age of four when I insisted that fairies lived in stars. The reputation has stayed with me since kindergarten. Despite the encouragement of my English teachers I pursued another passion and graduated from Weber State University with a degree in nursing. I work part time in the Recovery Room at Avenues Surgical Center and now The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital in Murray, UT. I spend a lot of time writing, via laptop, while I care for my two small children, Ben who is five and Rylee now eighteen months.
